Norman Shartzer taught Chemistry at Bethlehem Central High School from January 1967 until June 1997. He could not begin the job until January because he was finishing his thesis work in meteorology at SUNY Albany. He replaced Leslie Edsall, past science supervisor, who had come out of retirement to teach the first semester until Norm arrived.
