When I taught there in 1963-1966, New Lebanon Central School (NLCS) contained grades 7-12 and was located on Route 22 in the village of New Lebanon, which is in the Town of New Lebanon, Columbia County, NY. There was also an Elementary School within about 100 yards. Presently, New Lebanon Junior/Senior High School is located in the same building as before (although enlarged), but with a slightly different name. The district still consists of one elementary school and one junior-senior high school, but the elementary school has moved westward onto Route 20. (see photos below)
The school district serves students from parts of five Towns. They are the Towns of New Lebanon, Canaan, and Chatham (all in Columbia County), plus the Towns of Stephentown and East Nassau (both in Rennselaer County).
